Smart Luggage
A new travel insurance product known as "Smart Luggage" has been launched and offers automatic payouts for delayed and lost luggage.
Smart Luggage takes the time and effort out of having to claim by allowing you to upload an image of your delayed luggage receipt and automatically receive £50 to your nominated bank or PayPal account if it isn't located within 30 minutes, and £500 if it can't be located after 48 hours.
The policy is one of the first "smart contracts" in the insurance market and runs on secure blockchain technology.
